Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor will manage the team to ensure workflow success for all related departments. Their focus will be on full Seed Starting lifecycle for the shipping season, inventory management, and people management. The supervisor will be responsible for maximizing the workforce to meet operational demand and ensuring all safety protocols are followed meticulously.


Location:     Corporate Office - Warminster, Pa

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to train, manage, and evaluate performance of both Burpee employees and seasonal staff.
  • Conduct orientation for new employees by setting employee expectations, defining responsibilities, informing on safety guidelines, and following company policies.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness with operations, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Cross-train team members to strengthen overall skillset for enhanced coverage within the department.
  • Responsible for following standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and ensure the quality control of the full shipping seasons and replenishment process.
  • Utilize D365 to support the operations team in addressing and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Generate shipping labels for pertinent pallet and case builds.
  • All other related duties as assigned
